ClickDesk is an app which allows users to add customer support features to their websites including one that almost every customer has come to expect: live chat. This application allows users to grow their business by providing superior support: on auto-pilot when they’re not online and directly when they are. The application also allows users to integrate with VOIP so they can take and make live phone calls, and it creates a “service ticket” system so users can take support questions when they are offline and answer them in an organized fashion. Users are alerted via IM when a new support ticket is created if they want to get to their support tickets immediately, allowing business owners to service their customers in a timely fashion without chaining themselves to their offices.

ClickDesk was founded by the company 2Desk. Over 20,000 businesses currently use ClickDesk, and it has received a great deal of positive media attention, indicating that it is a wildly popular application.

What are the differences to other apps?

While there are certainly other Help Desk apps, ClickDesk seems to rise above them all. Many of the other applications do not share the feature list that ClickDesk offers. Many of them seem to fall short on the live chat support in particular. While offering customer support isn’t an original concept ClickDesk does it in a clean, integrated way that makes it a front runner among customer service applications.

ClickDesk has a clean look and feel, and it is very easy to use. There are two ways to actually get it on the site, either through HTML code or through a WordPress plugin. The site itself is bold without being too busy, and a user can quickly catch on to the purpose of the app. The app boasts a 99.9% uptime guarantee thanks to international backups and server shares with Google and Amazon, a feature which is extremely important given a customer’s potential perception of a malfunctioning customer service platform.

How does the registration process work?

Registrants must first pick a plan. They may then log in with Google or Yahoo, or they may create an account. Users provide their name, e-mail, and password. They are also asked to indicate how they learned about the site.

There are three versions of ClickDesk. The first is “Free Forever,” which allows users to designate a single customer service agent and chat with up to 50 customers per month. For $9.99 customers can upgrade to ClickDesk Lite, which offers unlimited chats. Customers who want all of the features that ClickDesk has to offer may purchase the Pro plan for just $14.99 per month. Customers may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel the service at any time.

Who would you recommend the application to?

Any user who sells products or services via the web will want to at least investigate ClickDesk as it will help them build the most profitable segment of their business: repeat customers. Live Chat is also very helpful for building trust and making sales while building user engagements: users who can get their questions answered right away are far more likely to do so, rather than simply wandering off of the site in search of something else.
